An ingredient is a substance that integrates as a part of any mixture or combination. Just like in the kitchen, a recipe specifies the ingredients used to make a particular dish, in the same way, various ingredients are used to constitute a skin-care product, in a way that it all comes together in a wholesome fashion. Natural ingredients include animal, plant, mineral or

microbial ingredients found in nature. Many commercial products contain secret ingredients that are known to outperform competing products.
We at Paradise Tree, work intimately with the farmer co-ops, and strive to obtain the highest quality organic ingredients from a plethora of geographical locations. We are proud that our ingredients are naturally and responsibly sourced to deliver the best to our consumers. Some of the most sought-after and widely used ingredients in our skin care concoctions are:
Roses
Roses with the best fragrance are in darker colour tones, and have more petals that are thick and velvety in texture. We source the roses used in our formulations from Dehradun, as the Gharwal Valley soil provides the highest acidity ratio in their aroma.

Laxmi Taru
Laxmi Taru (Simarouba Glauca) is a rare tree species that grows in Central America's forests.
In India, we obtain Laxmi Taru from Odisha and Karnataka and work closely with SSRDP and Art of Living co-ops. SSRDP also helps empower those in financial difficulty through best practices, environmentally sustainable technologies, and humanistic values.

Saffron
The Saffron used in our skin-care blends hails from the Valley of Kashmir. Saffron is beneficial for the skin because it contains various vitamins and antioxidants that makes skin youthful and glowing. Each saffron strand is carefully selected and hand-plucked by the Kashmiri natives. We do not use commercial-grade saffron.

Aloe vera
Aloe vera is a plant with myriad and diverse uses. We source raw Aloe vera from Rajasthan, and process it further into aloevera gel at our premium-marked Ayush Facility.

Cucumber
Cucumbers contain antioxidants like Vitamin C and Caffeic Acid, which when applied and absorbed into the skin help in keeping wrinkles at bay, and prevent sun damage. Pahadi cucumber, bought in directly from farmers is used to prepare face-washes and shower-gels by us.

Ashwagandha and Brahmi
Ashwagandha and Brahmi help in combating stress, reducing depression and anxiety by regulating the cortisol levels in the body. We locally source these two powerful ingredients from the farmers in Haryana and Punjab.

Sandalwood
The state of Karnataka is known to be the Land of Sandalwood. We work with the Government of Karnataka to provide the highest quality and certified Sandalwood for the most luxurious and exquisite facial and body products.

Coconut
Coconut oil helps to trap in natural moisture to keep skin hydrated and supple. We derive Coconut and Coconut Milk from the stables in Coimbatore and its surrounding areas.

Coffee
Products like mocha lip-balm and cocoa lip-scrub are made from fair-traded coffee, coffee oil and cocoa.

Beeswax
We get authentic Beeswax from the Himalayan foothills, where beeswax and honey are both found in multiflora. Beeswax conditions, hydrates, calms and soothes the skin and has other multitude of benefits.
